About
One person. One game at a time.
KOPARYX games is an independent game studio founded in 2026 by Dmitrij Dolgov. It makes small, dense games where a lot happens on screen and one idea holds it together.
What we are making
The first game is Hold the Bowl: Cats vs Dogs, a tower defence with a neighbourhood's worth of cats or dogs pouring toward a single food bowl, and a shed's worth of things to stop them: sprinklers, fences, a hose, a laser pointer. Nobody is harmed. Every animal has nerve rather than health, and when it breaks they turn around and go home. The debrief always reads "0 animals harmed", and we intend to keep it that way.
It is built for Windows and will be released on Steam. A Steam page, a trailer and a date will arrive in that order. Follow the news page or RSS feed for those announcements.
How we work
- A build every few weeks. Each one gets played by real people before the next one is started.
- Tools are tools. The game is designed and directed by a person. Where software helps build it, that is written on the Steam page in plain language.
- Feedback is design. "That turret feels weak" is a bug report and gets fixed like one.
The name
KOPARYX is a made-up word, chosen because nobody else had it. The K is the logo. There is no deeper meaning, and we would tell you if there were.
